   5) Annealed Hardness : HRC<24 

   6) EAF or ESR, Hot rolled or forged Peeled or black surface, annealed or QT. 

4.Heat treatment of  1.2344 alloy steel: :

Annealing	750 °C ~800 °C
Hardness after annealing	Max :HB<205
Stress relieving	600°C ~650 °C
Hot forming	900°C ~1100 °C
Hardening	1020°C ~1080 °C
Quenching media	Oil, Salt bath ( 500°C ~ 550 °C ), Air
Hardness after quenching	HRC 52 °C ~ 56°C Oil, Salt bath; 50 - 54 HRC Air

 6.Characteristic of 1.2344 alloy steel: 

 1)high hardenability, high toughness, good ductility, high temperature performance

   the use of Electric arc furnace(EBT)+refining(lf)+Vacuum  (CD) make the production of die steel are in high purity and   good performance

2)high hot strength and hardness

   good resistence to heat, good hot toughness, high resistance to temperature fatigue and

wear in medium heat small heat deformation

 the tendency of the appearing of iron oxide skin are small in air-quenching

    excellent corrosion resistance

3)Hot-work steel with good high temperature strength and high wear resistance.

7.Application of 1.2344 steel:

    Highly stressed hot work tools and dies, pressure casting dies for light metals, mandrels, dies, liners, dieholders, bolsters, stems, punches, dummy blocks and containers for metal tube and rod extrusion tools, hot shear blades, hot forming and forging dies for steels, brass and aluminum, tools and dies for the manufacture of hollow bodies, screws,nuts, rivets and bolts, moulds, worms and cylinders for the processing of plastics, press dies and die inserts, rolls for profiling tools,hot extrusion equipments, trimming tools, plastic moulding dies, severe cold punching, scrap shears, shrink rings, wear

 resisting parts, cold heading die casings, hot gripper and header dies, nitrided ejectors.
